Kerala bags three Digital India Awards

Trivandrum: Kerala has won three Digital India Awards from the Central Electronics & IT Department in various categories. The digital workforce management system undertaken and implemented by the state government to popularize the digital governance process received a platinum award, the website of the Kottayam district administration received a gold medal and the Ksheersree portal received a silver medal.

Digital India Awards (DIA) presents an opportunity to bring to the fore digital initiatives by the Centre, State & local bodies. These awards are instituted under the aegis of the National Portal of India to encourage and honour innovative digital solutions by government entities at all levels. DIA 2022 aims to inspire and motivate not only government entities but also startups in fulfilling the Digital India vision.

In a statement, Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan said that the government is moving ahead purposefully to develop Kerala as a knowledge society where knowledge and skills are at the core. In this internet age where information is available at the fingertips, administration and public service will become digital. The state government is implementing various schemes for this purpose. It is a matter of pride for Malayalis that many of these are getting national and international recognition. Let these achievements strengthen our efforts to grow as a knowledge economy, added the Chief Minister.
